AJ tCn top 100 Architects on Twitter

Hannay McLaren Architects was included in the 100 most influential UK architects on Twitter.

Run by the AJ (Architects’ Journal) magazine in conjunction with (tCn) the Construction Network, the survey was carried out using PeerIndex, a web technology company which is algorithmically mapping out the social web. By measuring a user’s authority, activity and audience, their PeerIndex is produced and can be compared to others within the same industries.

The Architects’ Journal asked people using Twitter to nominate architects for inclusion in the table.

Being fairly recent converts to Twitter we are delighted with our 202nd place!

The full Peerindex list of all 307 Architects can be found here.

Having been sceptical of the usefulness of Twitter in a professional and business capacity, once I delved deeper it quickly became a background part of my everyday work.  With most construction and architecture magazines and all daily newspapers having a Twitter account, the stream of current industry news and links make it much easier to quickly access any interesting and relevant stories and of course to then share these with our followers.  Having a network of fellow Architects also commenting on these stories can be very insightful and thought provoking, especially as we are a small office.

If you are a fellow Tweeter we can be found @HannayMclaren but hopefully you already know that and follow us!
